Volen ("we", "our", or "the App") is a pet diary application designed to help you record and cherish moments with your pets. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how your data is handled.

1. Information We Collect

Volen is designed with a privacy-first approach. All data is stored locally on your device.

• User Data: A locally generated unique identifier (UUID) is created on your device. No personal information such as name, email, or phone number is collected.
• Pet Information: Pet profiles you create (nickname, breed, birthday, gender, photos) are stored locally on your device.
• Diary Entries: Text and photos you add to diary entries are stored locally in the app's sandbox storage.
• Photos: Photos you select from your library or take with the camera are saved locally within the app. They are never uploaded to any server.
• Purchase Data: In-app purchase transactions are processed by Apple. We do not collect or store any payment information.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide core app functionality: creating pet profiles, writing diary entries, and managing your pet album.
• To manage in-app coin balance for the diary posting feature.
• All processing occurs locally on your device.

3. Data Storage

All data (user profile, pets, diaries, photos) is stored exclusively on your device using local database storage. We do not operate any servers or cloud storage for user data.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third parties. Since all data remains on your device, there is no data transmission to external servers.

5. Third-Party Services

• Apple StoreKit: Used for processing in-app purchases. Apple's privacy policy governs the handling of purchase transactions.

6. Device Permissions

• Camera: Used to take photos for diary entries and pet avatars. Photos are stored locally only.
• Photo Library: Used to select existing photos for diary entries and pet avatars. Selected photos are copied to the app's local storage.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the Settings page in the app. This permanently removes all user data, pet profiles, diary entries, and photos from your device.

8. Children's Privacy

Our app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app stores all data locally and does not transmit any data to external servers.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
